Although there are specific addictions that warrant detox and isolated withdrawal, such as drug and alcohol addiction, most of our common forms are internal and psychological.  Examples of these common forms are overeating, shopping, gambling and sex/romance.  These types do not need any specific detox, but can be eliminated through psychological means and training.The internal mechanism which holds an internal compulsion in place, is the mind, which contacts earlier, evolutionary structures of the brain (the reptilian and limbic systems) to repeat and repeat a particular gratification.  Through a specific training, which re-aligns all our major functions, we can discover a pure aspect of the psyche, which can effortlessly transcend these conditioned patterns, enabling us to live in Freedom.
