When we observe the mind, we will find that it is very complicated.  This condition will often express itself as the complexity and drama of our social existence.  One of the aspects of self-observation is that it enables us to look squarely at internal material which has the potential to cause complication, thus prompting Awareness to look closely at these causes. As we find the core aspect of our feelings which prompt this complication to emerge, we can gradually eliminate this structure of our minds.  This is meditation: the clearing away of unnecessary distraction, producing an inner silence. Then we can naturally find more order and simplicity in our external lives.  Simplicity naturally emerges when aspects of our social existence does not cause unneeded distraction.  This distraction, produces disorder, to which then leads to complication.  We can begin by external order, such as cleaning, sorting and elimination.  However, the true simplicity emerges when the internal life is free from distraction.
