Buddhist Mindfulness is often described as a way of right living and generally, being in the world.  However, attention, which is the heart of mindfulness, is never separated from action.  We cannot arbitrarily use our senses without engaging it with some social activity.  We are always in some social process at all times, whether taking a walk, meditating, conversing or at work.  The right action or volition must be activated along with attention, or mindfulness, in order for there to be true well being.  I believe right action or volition involves at least two things: the ability to intend an action (or the sense that one is deliberate and has the right attitude), and the ability to actually complete the action itself, or follow it through.
