Much of our experience of stress or on the other hand, relaxation and peace is modulated through the way we breath. The different variables to our breathing function are frequency or rate per minute and area of the lungs in which we breath. By regulating our breath, we can affect these two variables, because stress is reduced by breathing deeply and in the right are in the lungs. Through self-knowledge, we can look at many of the signals in our minds which cause problematic concerns. With the right training, we can look at these inner concerns more closely, and then let them go. This allows us to slow our breathing rate and particularly, the area of the lungs in which we breath. When we let go of our unnecessary thoughts and feelings into our lower area of the lungs, or into the diaphragm, this will have an enduring effect on our reducing stress.
