The skill of Wisdom involves the understanding of experience, or the right relationship between self and world.  Often, when there is strong emotion or feelings states, we distort our self or our perception of the world, whether that is another person or some social process.The key to regulating our compelling feeling states, is to learn various trainings which transform our structures of experience, such as our instincts, volition, thought and identity.  When this transformation occurs, we can look at our emotions with clarity, and let go of those that are narcissistic, impractical or unwarranted.
